The My Hero Academia Universe
For the uninitiated, My Hero Academia is a widely acclaimed manga and anime series created by Kohei Horikoshi. It's set in a world where nearly everyone possesses a unique superpower called a "quirk." These quirks have given rise to a society of superheroes and supervillains, with individuals training at the U.A. High School to become pro heroes.
"My Hero One's Justice 2" faithfully captures the essence of this world and brings it to life in an electrifying gaming experience. Players can step into the shoes of their favorite characters from the series and engage in fierce battles to prove their mettle as heroes or villains.
One of the standout features of "My Hero One's Justice 2" is its extensive character roster. With more than 40 characters to choose from, players can take control of fan-favorite heroes and villains. Whether you prefer the fiery charisma of Katsuki Bakugo or the ice-cold powers of Shoto Todoroki, you'll find a character that suits your playstyle. This diverse cast of characters ensures that each battle feels fresh and offers a unique gaming experience.
The game introduces new characters that weren't present in the first installment, such as the menacing Kai Chisaki, the explosive Mirio Togata, and the enigmatic Nejire Hado. This addition allows fans to explore the abilities and quirks of characters introduced in the anime's fourth season, offering a sense of progression and excitement for long-time followers of the series.
The game's story mode invites players to relive the most iconic moments of My Hero Academia, spanning from the series' beginnings to the most recent arcs. The narrative is engaging and keeps fans immersed in the rich storyline. This feature adds a personal touch to the game and enhances the overall experience.
Moreover, the quirks of the characters are portrayed with authenticity, making the battles a thrilling spectacle. Each quirk feels true to the source material, whether it's Midoriya's "One For All" or Uraraka's anti-gravity abilities. This attention to detail is commendable and ensures that battles are not just about button-mashing but strategy and finesse.

This simplicity doesn't mean the game lacks depth; there's a range of advanced techniques to master, such as countering, sidekicks, and ultimate moves.
The battles are highly dynamic, with characters using their quirks to unleash powerful and visually stunning attacks. The environments are also interactive, allowing for wall-running, smashing objects, and using the surroundings to your advantage during fights. Just like the first one with much, much more added. Also, fully dubbed to English unlike the first one. Fans of My Hero Academia will love it.

Recently started watching the anime and became a fan real quick. Since I'm a fanboy, decided to buy this game. The gameplay itself is very smooth and fun. Love the graphics and super power combos. Docking a star since you have to be a PlayStation plus member to play online versus others. Wish the game had the English voice actors for US buyers. Other than these two gripes, game is worthy of buying for any MHA fan.

Few shonen anime series fit popular culture’s continued obsession with western superhero tropes quite as well as My Hero Academia. This long-running manga and anime follows the journey of Izuku Midoriya, a young boy born without powers (or Quirks, as they’re known in the series’ canon) in a world where extraordinary abilities are now the norm. Taken under the wing of super icon All Might, our boy Izuku must learn to be a hero at a school for exceptional talents while navigating the melodrama of education. While it might sound like a cross between the X-Men and Persona, the emotional core of its overarching story has always helped ground the silliness of its concept. Read full article.
My Hero One’s Justice 2 boasts a lot of different modes, each of which is enjoyable in its own right, if not a bit repetitive at times. Story mode focuses on retelling recent events from the anime, centring on the Provisional Hero License Exam and Shie Hassaikai arcs. This does feel somewhat like a double-edged sword; on the one hand it’s really cool to be reliving those moments and taking part in some truly iconic battles, but on the other hand, it all feels so recent -- it would have been nice to experience some original content. Story mode does offer this to an extent, giving the option to replay it as a villain to get another perspective on the story, but still, it all feels like you're retreading very familiar ground.
